The Polestar 2 will start at $59,900, deliveries start this summer

The design is very Volvo-like, which is unsurprising given that it’s built on Volvo’s Compact Modular Architecture.

At first, Polestar 2s will come pretty loaded with standard equipment. But if you want a color other than black, you have to pay for it.

There is a more expensive interior option.

The Pilot package comes as standard on the launch edition.

As does the Plus package.

I think the Performance package will be a popular option.

One of the wheel designs will cost you extra.

If you’ve sat in a modern Volvo, this will look familiar.

The Polestar 2’s infotainment system runs on Android.

The battery is a 78kWh pack (or 72kWh in China) which should give the Polestar 2 275 miles of range on the EPA test.

Two electric motors will give the Polestar 2 300kWN (408hp) and 660Nm (487lb-ft).

And it has just gone into production at Polestar’s factory in China.
