Matte or matt lipstick
It’s perfect when you’re going for a modern look: matte lipstick has nothing shiny about it yet manages to bring the eyes of the beholder right to your lips. Matts, in fact, give a very bold look even if they don’t shine. Many of these products also come with moisturizers, which is not to be underestimated because sometimes the matte effect is achieved by overusing pigment at the expense of moisturizing the lips.
Pearl lipstick
A pearl lipstick is a make-up item properly designed to reflect light.
It can be a perfect ally for a special occasion, dinner party or formal event.
We recommend you also use a moisturizer with pearl lipstick as they’re not known for being as gentle on the lips (and are definitely not moisturizing). But this one about moisturizing is definitely a discussion we need to get into since we’ve touched on it in pros and cons for each type of lipstick.
The Moisturizing Elements of Lipstick
If you live in a place with a dry climate, you know how hard it is to keep your lips moisturized.
Using a lipstick with good moisturizing ability is not only practical, but it can also be very helpful in ensuring that you look good. Some lipsticks with moisturising formulations contain natural ingredients like aloe or vitamin E. Thanks to these components, your lips will be more protected from external agents and they will also give you a soft feeling. In addition, it has to be said that most moisturizing lipsticks will still look a bit shiny… which could save you from having to add a gloss or use a glossy primer and save you time!
