A luxury crossover with a mainstream price? The 2021 Toyota Venza

Love is spending all day driving to and from upstate New York taking someone on a pilgrimage to their baseball team’s first World Series win.

Honestly, if you slapped a Lexus badge on this shape instead of a Toyota one, I wouldn’t do a double-take. It’s a more elegant crossover than its siblings in the current Toyota lineup.

The upmarket effect continues on the inside, at least with the Limited trim.

You can tell it’s not a Lexus because it doesn’t have Cylonface.

I might not be the world’s biggest crossover fan, but if I had another 750-mile day to drive, I’d be content to drive it in a Venza. I think that counts as praise.

For once, I have no complaints about this Toyota infotainment center.

I’ve seen quite plenty of sunrises from the driver’s seat this year.

Comfy seats are a must for long drives.

Despite being mid-October, temperatures were in the high 70s, so seat cooling was appreciated.
